Christmas Kitchen 

Christmas Eve at our house is spent in the kitchen. Preparing the feast and the treats for the next days ahead. With a combination of gingerbread cooling on the tray and Christmas pudding baking in the oven, the kitchen is filled with amazing smells that create beautiful memories for our friends and family that we are lucky enough to share it with. Our festivities start on Christmas Eve and it’s one of our most treasured nights of the year.

There are some scents that just scream Christmas. Christmas puddings, gingerbread cookies, festive treats and warm malted milk ready for Santa. Orange, clove, cinnamon and ginger dance with almond, vanilla and malt to create this truly magical Christmas combination.

Inspired by classic Christmas aromas to evoke to warm feeling of family and the spicy excitement of seeing Santa. We topped these candles off with a cute Christmas quote and there was a double-up of candles so you could spread the scent or share one with a friend. Because that to us is the true meaning of Christmas, the ability to give a gift to someone that needs it most. This month was so busy we sold out of our gold vessels and had to source a beautiful large silver one at the last minute to pour a few extras so no one missed out.

Memory is closely linked with smell, it’s probably one of the most powerful of all our senses. That a certain aroma can spark a long lost memory of baking with Nan in the kitchen or the feeling of waking up on Christmas morning and getting to eat biscuits and lollies before breakfast. It’s not always a childhood memory that's triggered. The time we spend with our family and friends at Christmas brings a warm feeling to my frosty heart. It’s the old and the new memories and traditions that we make each year that will be remembered for years to come. The special feeling of opening gifts and the anticipation of the surprise of what could be inside is the exact reason we created Club Candle. I have always been a gift-giver, to see the face of someone as they open a gift is all the thanks I need. The true smile that spreads across their face is priceless. We know we’re just sending a candle each month, but we hope that you experience this feeling each and every month.
