Club Candle - Monthly Candle Subscription Box

Our boxes are dispatched the 1st day of each month. In most states, you'll receive within a few days. Your package is trackable and insured, to arrive at your door in the condition it leaves ours.

Yes you have to pay shipping! We used to 'build-in' the cost of shipping into the price - so you'd pay $40 a box. We wanted to be more transparent, so we dropped our prices and now charge $25 for the candle and $10 for shipping. We're a small Aussie biz and we have to pay our couriers to get these goodies safely to you, and let me tell you, freight in Australia is expensive.

Our boxes ship the 1st of each month. If you have to get it to someone for a gift earlier, we can see what we can do. We usually have spare boxes from the previous month and can send that if we have it. Contact us here at hello@clubcandle.com.au and we will see what we can do.

We send you an email when your box has been booked for delivery. This will have the tracking number and the shipping provider. If for any reason you need help to track your package, just reach out and talk to us. Go to the contact page or send us an email.

What if my package is lost in transit or damaged when it gets to me? In the unfortunate event that your delivery is lost or damaged, please contact us ASAP.

If there is no one home at time of delivery, your package will be left in a safe place by your front door.

If there is no safe place to leave the parcel a calling card will be left at the premises. The courier company will hold on to the parcel for 10 business days awaiting further instructions. If the courier does not receive instructions from you to redeliver the box will be returned to Club Candle and we are charged a re-delivery fee of $20. This will be passed onto you. Please ensure you have the correct delivery information and it can be left in a safe place. If not, try getting your package delivered to a friends or your place of work – trust us, everyone will be super jealous of your amazing parcel.

The first time you make a purchase you are charged on the spot. Your Club Candle box arrives the following month. So, let’s say you subscribe for your first box and pay in January, your box will be the February box that ships on the 1st of Feb. Each month after that, your credit card is charged on the 28th and your box ships just a few days later on the 1st of the month.

What do we look like a gym? No way! If you've chosen to pay by the month, you can cancel at anytime prior to your payment being processed on the 28th of each month. The prepaid subscriptions are paid up front and can't be cancelled or refunded because you are receiving a bulk discount for pre-paying in full.

YES! You can pause or skip a month by logging into your account. This is a great option if you’re going away – lucky you… or if you have too many candles – as if!!!Take a look at our HOW TO FAQ on a step by step process.

All sales are final. Not everyone is going to love the scents or styles we pick out. Your home might be country and the glassware might be modern, or the smell might be Chocolate, and you're just not a fan. The great thing about candles is they make the perfect gifts. If you get one that just isn't you, give a gift to a fantastic friend or keep till Christmas and pop in someone's secret Santa. Please reach out to us if you keep getting candles that you don't like and we can take a look at your subscription. We are happy to swap the candle for you. How does this work? You will be responsible for the safe and insured return of your package and the cost to ship out a new one. Please contact us personally for more information.

If you’re a subscriber for our candles delivered monthly, you can pause, skip or cancel at any time. If you have bought a pre-paid, try before you subscribe or shop one of our past candles these are paid as a once off and can’t be cancelled.

We try and be as transparent as possible, so we let you know exactly what you’re paying for. We used to "build in" the cost of shipping into the subscription. The only boxes that the shipping has been built in is the pre-paid subscriptions as you need to pay for all the boxes and their delivery each month all at the first initial purchase payment.  

A new and exciting box will arrive each month. We always change up the style and scent of your candle to keep you surprised.  In each box you'll find A candle with at least a 50 hour burn time, it comes wrapped in our custom tissue paper. You’ll also find a candle of the month card that describes your candle scent, plus a little note from us. Sometimes, we'll even throw in a free gift. 

Sure, you can! We have a few different boxes to choose from... You can choose from the 2 different scent options – Sweet and Fruity or Fresh and Earthy. You can be surprised, and we’ll pick one for you. You can choose both boxes and receive candles in both scent types. You can choose a pre-paid subscription and save for paying in bulk You can try before you subscribe You can shop our past boxes

Definitely! You get to choose how often your box ships. Once you’ve picked a box. In the ‘deliver every’ dropdown box you can select 1 month 2 months 3 months 4 months 6 months 12 months That way you have the control on when your box arrives. Once you make your purchase, if you think you want to change the intervals, to more or less, you can do that too.

Let’s face it. After the age of 21, unless it's a birthday, anniversary or Christmas the time for gift giving is OVER. If we don't treat ourselves to something nice, who will? We were sick of just getting junk mail turn up at our door and wanted a little surprise to look forward to each month. Subscription Boxes are pretty much the only way you can buy yourself a gift and be surprised when you open the box!

We have taken our love of candles and gift giving to the next level, and we like to go above and beyond to make you feel special. With a little package turning up each month it’s always a nice treat to yourself or someone special, with a surprise hand made just for you. 

Yes! All Club Candle subscribers save around $10 off any candle box. Our Try before you Subscribe, 1 off boxes are $35 if you subscribe, you’ll pay $25. 

Our candle box arrives with NO receipt. Each candle is wrapped in our custom Club Candle tissue paper. There will be our signature Club Candle Card which has information about the candle scent and a handwritten note with each package. What a way to blow your loved one away than with a personalised gift just to show how much you care. To include your personal message to your special someone, just add it to the special instructions section and we’ll handle the rest.

Every now and then we like to throw in a little something extra. It could be anything. In the past we’ve included skincare, chocolates, candle coasters, bath products, bed socks, cards, tea, even a bonus full sized candle! We do this every now and then so get your box now as next month could just be ‘bonus’ month.

We want to make sure each month is a new experience for you. If we always sent out the same container or picked similar fragrances, you wouldn’t get the same excitement of opening something that you have no idea what’s inside. We always pick new candle containers and different fragrances, so you get a bit of everything. 

You may be a lover of sweet-scented candles or you might hate them. It’s nice to have a bit of an option, even though it's still a total surprise what you get.

In the beginning, we had a few different fragrance families to choose from on the website. We found that these 2 types seemed to be the most popular. Sweet & Fruity / Fresh & Earthy So, we created the 2 different boxes. Now don't get scared, we don't use both sweet and fruity scents in one candle - can you imagine a watermelon butterscotch candle?!?! The first time you light your new candle let the wax melt right to the edge!   By blowing out your candle before the wax has melted all the way to the edge on your first burn, you will get a tunnelling effect. This is where a candle will burn down the centre, leaving a hard rim of wax around the edge and the result - your candle won’t burn for as long as it should.

Trim your wick to about ¼ inch or about 6mm long before each and every burn. Remove any debris from the top of the wax, this ensures an even burn and you won’t have a mess of old charred wick in your melting wax. 

Smoking candle or the black soot build up around the rim of the vessel can be caused by a wick that’s too long or a candle that has been burning for longer than 3-4 hours. If your candle is smoking, extinguish and trim the wick. If your candle has black soot build up, extinguish and wait till the wax has gone hard. Using a baby wipe or damp paper towel, wipe the inside rim of the glass to remove any soot build up and leave your candle looking as good as new.

We recommend that once the candle has about ½ inch of wax left in the bottom, that’s a good time to retire that candle and light up your next one.

When your candle gets low, and the wax has melted to the bottom, pour your wax into the bin. Be very careful not to burn yourself. If you get most of the wax out this way, you can then clean the rest of the melted wax out with a paper towel and then pop out the remaining wick.   If your candle is cold you can cut a cross through the remaining wax and then try warming it up in a saucepan of water on the stove. They should come out in pieces and you won’t need to melt the wax all the way.   Once all the wax and wicks are removed use warm, soapy water to wash out the container. You can re-use your vessel for whatever you'd like. They are perfect in the bathroom to hold bath salts, hair ties, little soaps or cotton buds. In the kitchen for knick-knacks and small items. In the bedroom for jewellery, makeup brushes or accessories, at the entry to hold keys or to keep something safe. At the office for pens and stationery, or plant succulents or cactus to add a bit of green to your space. Of course, the uses are endless! So if you really loved the candle container when you first opened it, you can get even more use from it by re-purposing it for a storage solution at home or the office.
