Our July 2022 Fresh / Earthy Candle of the Month is… Prismatic

The definition of Prismatic:

Highly coloured / Resembling the colours formed by refraction of light through a prism.

When we first received the glassware for this, I was amazed at the intricate details of this glass. I was even more amazed once I had seen it in the sunlight and watched the way the rainbows were created from all the ridges in the glass. 

With its very funky shape and rainbow reflections, I knew it had to be balanced out with a very nice light refreshing scent. An accidental homage to last year's July candles, this year we’ve again created something bright, fun and full of rainbows. 

When choosing the fragrance for this candle, there were a few scents that came to mind that we could use. We’ve saved those for some upcoming months and I think the one we ended up choosing was the perfect fit. Nice and light, the scents of cucumber and pear are the first to peak through, with a hint of mint and some long lasting notes of sweet vanilla. 

The first thing I thought of when I saw this jar was the album art of a certain famous band. I was researching different ideas and concepts that I could run with and I had a giggle. Remembering back to year 10 science class and learning about the refraction and reflection of light. It reminds me of people who are learning a difficult concept and always say ‘But when will I ever use this in my life?’. Who knew that science could be so fun?!
